About the Conference
Model United Nations Illinois is a conference that prides itself on being one of the best conferences in the nation. We have always believed that each conference should not only help representatives gain a better understanding of the international community but also allow representatives to have fun by having exciting, unique, and interesting topics and committees. In the past twelve years, we have continued to grow yet manage to keep a small conference feel so that every student has a chance to participate, and this year will be no exception.
Representatives will have much to look forward to this year, with more information available to helping them prepare for MUNI, as well as the conference newspaper, the MUNI Inquirer, which will be written by representatives during the course of the weekend.
On the staff side of the conference, our club members have the unique chance of running a full Model United Nations conference. This includes chairing, crisis staff, publications, research, delegate services, home government, and planning under the Under-Secretary Generals. This conference is used to both provide funding for future conference trips as well as to be a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. MUNI can be viewed as the most important event of the year for the club.
